Dear Parents and Carers
It has been a hectic start to the New Year and new term, I hope you are all safe and well! Thank you so much for your lovely messages this week, they’ve been really helpful and supportive.
Most of you are back to home learning. The format is the same as last time except that the activities have been separated into specific days to help organise your week and hopefully make finding and accessing lessons for your child as straightforward as possible. This should also help children who are coming into school for part of the week find the learning they need to complete on the days that they are at home. We will be covering and following the same lessons in school. I hope you will find the information provided useful.
Your home working situations will vary so please don't feel too overwhelmed by the challenge ahead or feel that another child in the class might be doing more or less than your child. You are doing an amazing job!
We will also be in touch soon about arranging weekly Google Meets as a chance for the children to see their friends and teachers. I will be emailing the Google Meet protocols on Monday – please reply to that email by Friday 15th January with your agreement to follow them. I will only email the link if you have agreed to the protocols.
You may have read in the news that the Year 6 SATs have been cancelled this year. This is great news, the children have had enough to deal with! We will still be working hard to ensure that your child is achieving their best and ready for the transition to secondary school.
Please use the class email email@example.com to contact me with any problems and to share work that your child has done at home; I will reply as soon as I can.
Stay safe and look after each other.
