Imagining we had been shipwrecked, we had to work together to make our own filters to clean some mucky water.

With a bottle and a range of materials, we had to decide which materials would be useful and what was the best order to put them into the bottle filter.

We were pretty successful and had cleaner water than we started with. 

It wasn't safe to drink though!

Mrs Stewart used a really large pan to heat the water so it evaporated, and a large, metal tray to condense the water so it was ready to drink.
